Wells-next-the-Sea is a traditional seaside town on the beautiful North Norfolk coast it falls within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. 

The town is a delightful blend of narrow streets, old yards and modern conveniences. Historic, listed buildings sit alongside great pubs, restaurants and fantastic independent shops. 

The Quay

The busy quay is a popular attraction and a great spot to enjoy Wells’ famous fish & chips!

Perfect for families to fish for crabs at high tide or just to sit and watch the sea birds & fishing boats come and go.

The Beach

The beautiful soft white sandy beach at Wells is considered to be one of the best on the North Norfolk coast, stretching for over 4 miles to Burnham Ovary Staithe.

With it’s pine trees, sand dunes and colourful beach huts it can be reached easily on foot, via the Wells Harbour miniature railway or plentiful parking is available via the beach road.

Dogs are welcome year round, refreshments & facilities available at both Wells and Holkham.

The Setting

With its salt marshes and sand dunes, Wells provides the perfect habitat for wading birds such as Bitterns, Avocets and Marsh harrier. The famous bird reserves of Titchwell, Cley and Pensthorpe are a stones throw away.
